A shape's properties are defined by three entities: The shape itself, its template and the design assigned to the project. Read "Templates" and "Styles" to understand these concepts. When you want to change a shape property you have think about these points:
• | Is the property a style? If it is not, select the shape and modify the property in the property window. |
• | If the property is style but you want to define a private style for this shape, select the shape and modify the style in the property window. This property is then detached from the template and will not be affected anymore by template changes. |
• | If the property is a style and want it to follow the template again after it was detached, select the shape and set the property in the property window to Default. |
• | If the property is a style and you want all shapes of this template be changed accordingly, open the template editor for the shape's template and modify the style in the property window. If you do not find a fitting style, you can open the design editor and either modify existing styles or create new ones. |
• | If you want a style changed for all shapes and templates using it, open the design editor, select the style and modify it in its property window. |
• | If you want a color be changed wherever it occurs in the project, open the design editor, select the appropriate color style and modify it in its property window. |
